S. Scott Schwab has been a practicing criminal defense attorney since
1978. He was hired as a staff attorney with the Lucas County Public
Defender’s Office in 1984 and retired in 2024 as the supervising
attorney of the felony division. He remains active in his private
 criminal practice.


A graduate of Tulane University and the Toledo College of Law, he is a
past president of the Toledo Junior Bar Association and a current
board member of The Toledo Legal Aid Society.


He has served as president of congregation Temple Shomer Emunim and 
vocalist for the Kirbys Band.

He has been married for 50 years to
 his wife, Carol, and has three children and five grandsons.
