Hector Alvarado

Like what happened with Wayne Braddy & Karl Willis, Hector Alvardo chose the dark plea rather then spend countless years in Lucasville Prison awaiting a re-trial of his 2013 conviction.  And like others who have been forced into such a deal, he is still considered a felon in the eyes of the state.

The Ohio Public Defender’s Wrongful Conviction project took on his case after pouring through security video that showed that a key witness for the prosecution could not have seen what he testified to. That witness finally came forward to confess he was coerced by the Prosecution and offered a deal to lie on the stand and say he saw Hector stab the victim.
