Jessica Ziegler, Ph.D.

Jessica Ziegler earned her Ph.D. in Sociology with concentrations in Criminology, Social Psychology, and Quantitative Methods from Bowling Green State University in 2017. She also has a Master’s Degree in Sociology (2014) from Bowling Green State University and a Bachelor’s Degree in Sociology (2012) from Western Kentucky University.

Dr. Ziegler’s research and teaching interests include criminological theory, victimology, research methods, and crime over the life course.

Together with Kay Anderson and Kristin Blowchowski, Jessica helped launch the LIFE (Lourdes Initiative for Exoneration) project, a senior capstone program that studies the issue of wrongful convictions in Lucas County.  LIFE students are welcome to participate as interns with NWOIC.
